Rev. Deborah Kehle (pronounced “KAY-lee”) began serving as Pastor at Goleta Presbyterian Church in September, 2010. 

My philosophy of ministry is best described in Edwin Markham’s poem “Outwitted”:

He drew a line that shut me out;
heretic, rebel, a thing to flout.
But Love and I had the wit to win;
we drew a circle and took him in.

Pastor's Welcome

In this first year of our ministry together, I have found GPC to be very welcoming and excited about the possibilities for future ministries, and it is my privilege and joy to serve as the Pastor.  I am moved by the depth of love and caring that members of the church demonstrate for one another as well as for the community.

Deborah has served churches in Pueblo, Colorado, and Sun City, Arizona.  In between serving the two churches, she worked for three years as a chaplain with Hospice of Arizona.
She has completed additional training in the following areas:  
Interim Ministry, Stephen Ministries, Mediation Skills, and one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE).
