GPC Board of Deacons

The Board of Deacons is elected by the congregation and deacons serve staggered three-year terms. Deacons serve others through the ministry of compassion. Each of the deacons is assigned specific responsibilities for a year. The deacons promote programs to identify local mission needs and implement funding, coordinate the quarterly bloodbank drive, prepare and help serve communion, coordinate serving of meals at Transition House and Community Kitchen, minister to sick and needy through visitation, cards and meals, plan receptions following memorial services and help coordinate efforts of the Parish Nurse. The Board of Deacons meets monthly.
