"Portable Treausure;" tenor Eduardo Villa singing

This Sunday the theme is "Portable Treasure," based on Romans 8:28-30 (being called by God) and the parables of the hidden treasure and pearl of great price (Matthew 13: 44-46). As I worked on these passages, they spoke to me about our faith and identity in the midst of change. I'll share some thoughts and pictures.

Metropolitan tenor Eduardo Villa is in town preparing for Fiesta, and will sing "The Lord's Prayer" at the end of our service.

The band, Jo, and Larry Saddler will lead of the rest of the music.

Present with us in worship and after will be Executive Presbyter Ken Working. Following the coffee hour, we'll gather with Ken in the Common Room to discuss what will be happening at GPC in the weeks before I leave and the time following. Bring any questions that have occurred to you -- I have some too.

Next Sunday at 7 PM, Eduardo will be offering a benefit concert for GPC's arts and music programs. Tickets will be on sale after church.
