"Spiritual Lessons on Father's Day from the Life of Jesus"

Sunday, June 15 2008, 9:30am - 10:30am

This Sunday I'll be offering a sermon called "Three Spiritual Lessons for
Fathers from the Life of Jesus." It will trace the relationship of Joseph
and Jesus, as well as Jesus and God, as a way to find three significant
lessons for fatherhood.

Tony will lead a commissioning of our Mexico mission team, which leaves
Friday June 20.

During the offering, Jeanne Martin and Curt Crotzer will play "Father and
Son" by Cat Stevens. Jo (just back from playing in Europe) and the choir
will lead the balance of the service.

We will celebrate communion with a new variation. A number of people in our
congregation cannot participate in communion due to wheat/gluten allergies.
This Sunday we will have a third communion station (in front of the band
equipment on the left side). The "bread" at this station will be
gluten-free. Anyone with an allergy can use that station; the other two
will have the usual bread.
